Materna Trust Center

This is how we implement compliance, data protection and security in order to be your trusted partner.

Materna Trust Centre

Trust is not merely a promise, but the very foundation of our business. Every day, we work with great dedication to earn, strengthen and safeguard the trust of our customers. Compliance, data protection and security – particularly information security – are not merely buzzwords; they are essential pillars of our philosophy, enabling us to stand by your side as a reliable partner. However, our focus is not only on the present, but also on shaping a forward-looking technological landscape. For us, progress and sustainability go hand in hand. That is why we are also actively committed to minimising our impact on the environment, the economy and society. In an ever-changing world, we are pioneers who not only adapt to change but proactively shape it.

Welcome to the Materna Trust Centre, where trust is the key to a collaborative and forward-looking partnership. Here you will find comprehensive information and evidence of how Materna fulfils its corporate responsibilities.

Information security

Securing and protecting information assets form a key foundation for trust-based cooperation with business partners. This applies not only to the supply chain, but also to the protection of customer data and personal data. Through our Information Security Policy, the Maternagruppe Executive Board lays the foundations for the Group’s Information Security Management System (ISMS). This also forms the basis for a culture of security within the company.
Increasing threats from the cyber realm require the continuous strengthening of the company’s resilience.

A growing number of EU regulations in the field of information security and their implementation within the ISMS contribute significantly to compliance.

Compliance

At Materna, compliance means more than just adhering to the law. Fair competition, integrity and sustainable business practices, as well as ethical and responsible conduct, are the fundamental principles underpinning our commercial success and reflect the values of the company’s founders and the organisation as a whole. We are firmly committed to fair competition and to complying with all applicable national and international laws. In particular, we do not tolerate any form of corruption, bribery or price-fixing. Adherence to our fundamental principles is our top priority. We have established the necessary framework for this through our Compliance Management System (CMS). Our CMS comprises, amongst other things, the following components.

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct is based on our commitment to acting in an ethically responsible manner at both employee and company level. The Code of Conduct summarises the values and principles of conduct within the Materna Group.

Whistleblowing scheme

Should breaches of our internal policies or other infringements occur despite our preventative measures, we wish to be informed of any unlawful conduct within our organisation so that we can investigate and rectify such conduct. For this reason, an anonymous external whistleblowing system is available to our employees, customers, suppliers and other parties. The system can be used to report existing, potential or imminent irregularities – both at Materna itself and within our supply chain. The whistleblowing system enables a confidential dialogue with the Materna Group’s Compliance Department, secured by special encryption.

You can access the system via this link or by scanning the QR code.

Alternatively, you can also contact the Materna Group’s Compliance Officer directly by email or telephone using the contact details listed below. We will carefully investigate every case and, where necessary, take the required action.

Compliance in the supply chain

At the Materna Group, as a global IT services provider, we are acutely aware of our social and societal responsibilities every day. We want to contribute to a future in which people and nature coexist in harmony. For this reason, we are committed to our social responsibility and contribute to ethical business practices and sustainable development.

In the Policy Statement (PDF, 3MB), the Executive Board of the Materna Group commits to the company’s internal human rights strategy and, by extension, to respecting and upholding all universal human rights.

In the Rules of Procedure (PDF, 255KB), we set out the process for handling complaints within the Materna Group and provide whistleblowers with information on the protection of their data.
