Materna TMT is repositioning itself with a new focus on the employee experience

TMT client projects have won several eLearning Awards 2023.

Materna TMT GmbH, a specialist in digital learning, change communication and media production, is expanding its portfolio as part of the end-to-end ‘Digital Industry Solution’ offering launched by the Materna Group. In addition to its focus on the public sector, Materna TMT is using its new ‘Employee Experience’ offering to provide greater support to industrial companies in finding suitable staff and retaining them in the long term. Its long-standing expertise in the production of professional e-learning courses is a key component of this newly developed portfolio element. In January 2023, three corporate e-learning projects by Materna TMT were honoured with the eLearning AWARD 2023.

Materna TMT is realigning its portfolio and, alongside its successful positioning in the public sector, is now focusing on the industrial sector as a further key industry. The new “Employee Experience” offering clearly focuses on the highly relevant market needs of staff recruitment and retention. The offering includes media consultancy, media production, digital learning and change communication, utilising modern technologies.

Materna TMT wins three eLearning Awards 2023

With outstanding e-learning solutions in the fields of industry, public administration and telecommunications, Materna TMT has now won the eLearning AWARD 2023 three times, once again underlining its strengths in strategic consultancy, didactic training concepts and the accessible implementation of successful e-learning programmes. The expert jury of the eLearning Journal has honoured Materna TMT’s innovative client projects with one award each in the categories ‘Strategy’, ‘Train the Trainer’ and ‘Accessible e-learning’. The eLearning Journal presents the award annually to forward-looking, state-of-the-art projects from across the DACH region.

Award-winning strategy for the repositioning of the Wilo Technical Academy

As part of the realignment of the corporate strategy of Wilo, a leading international pump manufacturer, the company’s learning strategy was also realigned. Materna TMT provided strategic advice to Wilo on the repositioning of its Technical Academy and developed a sustainable and future-oriented learning environment with an innovative training portfolio. Wilo’s learning experts were empowered to produce modern e-learning modules for their sales and service staff themselves, based on a pedagogical concept. In addition, Materna TMT supported the academy with internal change communication and in promoting the Technical Academy more effectively. By linking internal training and development to the corporate strategy, the company has succeeded in creating a consistent understanding of its strategic business objectives amongst its staff. For the successful implementation of this extensive project, Materna TMT was awarded an eLearning AWARD 2023 in the ‘Strategy’ category.

Train the Trainer: Innovative concept for digital training and further education at Telekom

A location- and time-independent digital training programme developed in collaboration with Materna TMT has replaced a face-to-face training course lasting several days for several hundred trainers at Telekom. The modular training programme enables employees with practical experience and teaching expertise to pass on their specialist knowledge to a diverse audience in sales or technical training sessions. The e-learning modules are designed to be varied and engaging using a modern mix of media, and, in addition, the trainee trainers can exchange ideas with one another in real time via a linked community. The ‘Train the Trainer’ concept developed by Materna TMT is particularly innovative in terms of its applicability to day-to-day work and can also be used as a white-label solution by other companies for trainer development. For this, the project received an award from the eLearning Journal in the ‘Train the Trainer’ category.

eLearning AWARD 2023 for inclusive e-learning on the Berlin e-File

The aim of the project for the State of Berlin was to develop a flexible e-learning programme for around 100,000 staff members, which complements the face-to-face training on the digital file with a blended learning format. The central focus was on ensuring the course was completely accessible in accordance with the criteria of BITV 2.0 (Accessible Information Technology Regulation). To this end, Materna TMT designed a total of 50 learning modules from a pedagogical perspective, produced all the media they contained and integrated them into an engaging e-learning programme. Thanks to this e-learning programme – the first of its kind in the State of Berlin to be fully accessible – staff across some 80 state authorities are able to make a seamless transition from analogue to fully digital records management. The jury has recognised this success by awarding the eLearning AWARD 2023 in the ‘Accessible eLearning’ category.
