Materna recognised as a leading medium-sized company and AI provider in Europe

The IT group is establishing itself as a key player in digital transformation.

The Materna Group has achieved two significant milestones: in the PAC Innovation Radar 2024, the company has been recognised as one of the best providers of AI services in Europe, receiving a ‘Best-in-Class’ rating. At the same time, Materna has consolidated its position in the Handelsblatt “TOP 100 Ranking” of Germany’s fastest-growing medium-sized companies. This demonstrates the company’s consistency and its ability to hold its own successfully even in challenging times.

The Materna Group secures its place among Germany’s most successful medium-sized companies. The company has been recognised in the prestigious PAC INNOVATION RADAR 2024 as one of the leading providers of AI services. As one of only three companies, Materna has received the coveted “Best-in-Class” rating in the “AI-related services for German SMEs” segment, confirming its outstanding market position and expertise in the field of artificial intelligence.

PAC: A key player in the field of AI services

The PAC INNOVATION RADAR, conducted by IT analyst firm Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), assessed 28 leading companies. Matern’s expertise in AI-related services for German SMEs particularly impressed the analysts. The following criteria played a key role: the relevance of digital customer engagement, the focus on SMEs and smaller companies, the German market, corporate transparency and the focus on the public sector.

Joachim Hackmann, Principal Analyst and Head of the BAS Cluster at PAC, comments: “Materna has established itself as a key player in the field of AI services. In particular, its focus on SMEs and the use of sophisticated AI approaches make Materna a reliable partner in the German and European business sectors.”

Successful SME in the Handelsblatt TOP 100 ranking

Materna is also strengthening its position as one of the most dynamic and economically successful companies in the German SME sector. In the latest Handelsblatt “TOP 100 Ranking”, Materna improved its position to 46th place compared to the previous year. The ranking examines more than 8,000 SMEs and assesses average revenue growth and profitability since 2019. Materna’s continuous growth and high profitability underscore the success of its corporate strategy.

Michael Hagedorn, CEO of the Materna Group, explains: “The accolades in both the Handelsblatt TOP 100 Ranking and the PAC INNOVATION RADAR confirm our leading role in the field of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. These successes underscore our commitment to offering innovative, trustworthy and economically sustainable solutions to SMEs in Germany.”

Materna’s strategy for success in the field of AI

In the field of artificial intelligence, Materna pursues a clearly structured approach that supports companies in the successful implementation of AI. Michael Hagedorn explains that Materna’s AI change management approach is based on three pillars: raising awareness of the specific characteristics of AI, the active involvement of employees in the process, and communication and transparency. “AI should become a central component of corporate strategy. The mindset and expertise required for AI projects are crucial,” emphasises Hagedorn. Only when companies establish a consistent AI culture that is supported by all stakeholders can AI realise its full potential and lead to long-term success. Consultants such as Materna help to build this culture and create the necessary structures to implement AI projects sustainably and successfully.
