Materna is working with ITZBund to set up a digitalisation platform for the OZG

The Online Access Act (OZG), with its deadline set for the end of 2022, is driving forward the digitalisation of public administration. Just a few days ago, ITZBund announced the launch of an OZG platform to accelerate the implementation of OZG services. Materna is designing and developing this technical platform in collaboration with ITZBund, based on solutions derived from service consolidation. This will enable the digitalisation of the federal administration whilst adhering to standards for security and interoperability. 

ITZBund’s OZG platform integrates consolidated federal core services into a single, interoperable solution. Various building blocks are available at federal level:

• the content management solution Government Site Builder (GSB) as a portal
• the Federal User Account
• the ePayBL platform as a payment component
• the Lucom Interaction Platform (LIP) as a form management system (FMS)
• chatbot services for improved user interaction and clarity
• the Federal E-File as the core of administrative digitalisation
• Future integration with registers and specialist procedures for service delivery

Investment protection and seamless processes

The use of established solutions and services protects existing investments. It also ensures a sustainable infrastructure that enables front-end and back-end services to communicate with one another. The services are combined into a fully digital OZG implementation solution. Integration with the Federal Administration Portal is also possible.

Applicants’ personal data can be automatically transferred into application forms via single sign-on, and payment transactions can be processed digitally. Citizens and businesses can apply for administrative services via the FMS seamlessly and entirely digitally. Based on this OZG platform, federal authorities will in future be able to offer their OZG services more quickly.

A further advantage of the integrated service platform is that it enables federal authorities to design their own website and develop it into a standalone specialist portal.
