Materna is joining forces with Esri to pave the way for a digital future

Geospatial information is a key foundation for the digitalisation of public administration. It requires a sustainable, high-performance and open solution platform. To comprehensively address the tasks involved, Materna, an international IT consultancy and implementation firm, is collaborating with Esri, a leading provider of geoinformation systems. 

Materna and other partners will play a key supporting role in the recently signed three-year cooperation agreement between Esri and Dataport to support the digital transformation of the participating states of Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Saxony-Anhalt. In particular, the development of a Geodata Infrastructure (GDI) for control centres will play an important role. However, the focus will also be on environmental and transport information systems, internal security information systems, and construction and property management, amongst other areas. Furthermore, support will be provided for the digitisation of surveying and cadastral administration, property and land management, and facility management.

Building on the ArcGIS Enterprise products and platform technology, Materna will contribute its GIS expertise, develop functional and technical concepts for highly available GEO business processes, and advise the participating states on the technologies being deployed,” says Johannes Rosenboom, SVP Sales, Marketing and BDM, Public Sector Division, Materna. 

Joint exhibition by Materna and Esri – Digital State Berlin 

“Faster, stronger, more sovereign – together” is not only the guiding principle behind the collaboration between Materna and Esri, but also the theme of the “Digital State 2024” conference on 12–13 March 2024 in Berlin. Materna, together with Esri, will be covering the topics of digital sovereignty, citizen participation and digital twins at a joint exhibition stand. Visitors will also gain insights into crisis management, as well as climate change and sustainability, the energy and heating transition, and resilience.
