Materna is delighted to announce the addition of three experienced members to its Supervisory Board. Nicole Materna and Lennart an de Meulen, shareholders in the Materna Group, as well as long-standing employee and works council member Maria Brandt, are joining the company’s highest governing body with immediate effect. Their appointment represents a further important step towards positioning the Materna Group for sustainable and future-proof growth.
The expansion of the Supervisory Board to six members through the appointment of these three new members strengthens the body’s expertise and effectiveness. At the same time, this underlines Materna’s modern corporate culture, which is focused on innovation, openness and resilience.
Focus on the stability and sustainability of the family-owned business
Materna shareholder Nicole Materna has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the company and its workforce. Having worked for the company for more than 15 years, she has made a significant contribution to the development of the workforce and, as an expert in employer branding, has played a major role in positioning the employer brand and attracting qualified specialists to Materna. Nicole Materna, who holds a degree in business administration, studied business administration with a specialisation in marketing at the University of Münster and has an extensive network of university contacts, which enables Materna to build close relationships with educational institutions and to identify and nurture potential talent at an early stage.
Materna partner Lennart an de Meulen is an experienced management consultant with extensive expertise in the fields of project management and IT consultancy. He worked as a consultant for IBM for more than five years. He holds a Master’s degree from the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the ESCP Business School, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics. Like Nicole Materna, Lennart an de Meulen embodies the values of stability and sustainability, which are of great importance to the family-run business. He contributes his expertise particularly in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and internationalisation.
Maria Brandt, a graduate in Computer Science, has had an impressive 28-year career with the company. She works as a consultant in the Public Sector division and specialises in the IT system ATLAS (Automated Tariff and Local Customs Processing System). This system was developed on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Finance and plays a crucial role in the processing of customs matters. In addition, Maria Brandt has served as a member of the works council for the past five years. In this capacity, she holds the important roles of spokesperson for the Personnel and Training Committee and for the Health and Social Affairs Committee.
