Materna has once again been awarded a six-year framework contract for the Federal Office of Administration’s EPOS 2.0 human resources management software

Materna will continue to manage the EPOS 2.0 HR system in future

EPOS 2.0 is the software solution for modern human resources management, which is used by more than 60 federal authorities and a number of state administrations. The IT service provider Materna Information & Communications SE has once again been awarded a multi-year framework contract by the Federal Office of Administration to provide support for the software. Over the next six years, Materna will provide IT services for the customisation, maintenance and support of EPOS 2.0.

EPOS 2.0 is a government-owned, web-based human resources (HR) system. The software maps business processes relating to personnel, organisational and post management. Flexible interfaces supply data to other specialist and IT systems, such as time and attendance systems, cost and performance accounting (CPA) systems and workflow management systems. EPOS 2.0 includes a customisable rights/roles system, functions for generating analyses, letters and reports, and a standardised document management system.

Materna will continue to support public authorities working with EPOS 2.0 in the operation of the solution and with product support. The framework agreement also covers the development of new interfaces and the maintenance of existing ones, reporting, as well as the provision of training and migration support services to PVSplus (based on SAP HCM). Under the new framework agreement, Materna will, for the first time, also be responsible for the functional and technical further development of the EPOS base or core system.

Materna has been working for the Federal Office of Administration for many years, for example on the development and operational support of the content management solution Government Site Builder (GSB), the further development of the SOA-based working time management platform FAZIT-Online 2.0, and the development and maintenance of specialist and register procedures. With this renewed multi-year framework contract, Materna is extending its commitment to EPOS 2.0, which has been in place since 2014.

Michael Hagedorn, Executive Vice President of the Public Sector Business Line at Materna: “We are particularly pleased that the excellent work we have carried out on our many EPOS projects has laid the foundation for this new success.”

Johannes Rosenboom, Vice President of Sales for the Public Sector Business Line at Materna: “Having secured the EPOS framework contract once again enables us not only to continue supporting our existing EPOS clients, but also to acquire new clients, for example within state administrations. We are also continuing to expand our services relating to the consolidation of personnel management systems into PVSplus.”
