Materna Group appoints new head of marketing and communications

Dr Christian Samulewicz is in charge of Marketing & Communications and joins the Executive Management Board.

Dr Christian Samulewicz (38) took up the post of Senior Vice President Group Marketing & Communications at the IT consultancy firm Materna Information & Communications SE on 1 January 2023. In this role, he joins the Materna Group’s Executive Management Board and reports to CEO Martin Wibbe. Dr Christian Samulewicz was previously Head of Strategy & Marketing at top itservices AG.

A graduate in economics, he has many years’ management experience in marketing and communications. His focus lies on agile and innovative marketing, as well as communications tailored to specific target groups.

With its ‘Mission 2025’, the Materna Group is continuing on its ambitious and sustainable growth path. To this end, the long-established company is positioning itself for the future across all divisions and currently ranks first among medium-sized IT companies on the Lünendonk list.

Most recently, as Head of Strategy & Marketing at top itservices AG in Munich and Dortmund, Dr Christian Samulewicz was responsible for marketing and the implementation of strategic projects within the CEO’s office. Prior to that, Dr Samulewicz was in charge of marketing at Böhme & Weihs GmbH in Wuppertal, a leading software provider in the CAQ (Computer-Aided Quality Assurance) sector. A qualified advertising executive, he studied economics at Dortmund Technical University and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. During his subsequent doctoral studies at the Chair of Marketing at Dortmund Technical University, he conducted research into disruptive innovations.
