The portfolio is complemented by additional security products from the group of companies. Following the acquisition of Radar Cyber Security last year, the Materna Group is thus further expanding its position as a leading brand for cyber security in the DACH region.

Geopolitical events are increasing the threat level for businesses and public authorities. They must take special care to protect their data and keep a close eye on their entire IT infrastructure in order to identify potential vulnerabilities at an early stage and fend off intruders as quickly as possible in the event of an emergency. “To gain such a comprehensive overview and ensure an appropriate response, a combination of innovative technology, suitable processes and a highly effective team bringing together diverse areas of expertise is required,” explains Uwe Scariot, the Materna Group’s Executive Board member responsible for cyber security. “Materna Radar Cyber Security offers all of this. The service offering covers four key areas of cyber resilience
The new brand focuses on strengthening the cyber resilience of modern organisations – that is, the ability of companies and public authorities to prevent, withstand and recover from cyber security incidents. To this end, Materna Radar Cyber Security bases its portfolio on four pillars: Cyber Security Consulting offers targeted advice, including the identification and assessment of security risks. Cyber Security Integration supports organisations in implementing their bespoke cloud security solutions. The third pillar, SOC Services, is based on the Security Operations Centre (SOC), the core element of Materna Radar Cyber Security’s service offering. Based on a combination of in-house developed technologies and solutions from leaders in security detection and protection, it offers, amongst other things, SOC-as-a-Service – operated in accordance with the latest standards and tailored to the customer’s specific needs. Operations take place wherever suits the customer best: in the cloud, on-premises or even in a hybrid setup.
Cyber Security Products round off the portfolio, providing a holistic view of infrastructure and data security. The products include, amongst others, ‘Build your own SOC’ – the set-up of a customer’s own Security Operations Centre as a complete package comprising technology, processes and expertise. Specialised applications, such as those for securing ultra-mobile communications, round off the portfolio.
High-calibre leadership at Materna Radar Cyber Security
Philipp Kleinmanns, Senior Vice President of Cross-Market Services and Cyber Security at the Materna Group, and Dr Christian Polster, Managing Director and co-founder of Materna Radar Cyber Security, will take over the management of Materna Radar Cyber Security. “SOC services and cyber security consulting are the brand’s two main pillars. We are delighted to have secured the services of Philipp and Christian, two experienced experts, to further develop these two market-relevant and high-growth areas in the best interests of our clients,” says Uwe Scariot.
Philipp Kleinmanns will take on overall responsibility for the further development of the Materna Group’s cyber security offering. At Materna Radar Cyber Security, he will head the Cyber Security Consulting division, which focuses on major clients with specific requirements and specialises in project-based business. “I am delighted to be able to play a key role in shaping the field of cyber security, which is so important for both the market and Materna,” says Philipp Kleinmanns. “Our primary objective is to continuously expand our cyber security consultancy services for our clients.”
Dr Christian Polster heads the SOC Services division at Materna Radar Cyber Security. “The SOC should be at the heart of every company’s security, and so it is also at the core of our services. We will continue to significantly strengthen this area, expand SOC technologies to meet the requirements of the coming years, integrate clients’ processes and regulatory requirements in line with new EU regulations, and, as our primary objective, emphasise scalability in SOC-as-a-Service. “We will primarily be targeting large enterprises, medium-sized companies and public authorities in the DACH region,” explains Christian Polster. “To enable us to implement client projects quickly, we are consolidating all services relating to our own SOC solutions within a single division.”
