Company founder Dr Winfried Materna honoured for his life’s work

Dr Winfried Materna was honoured for his life’s work yesterday, Monday 2 March 2020, at an evening gala held at the Villa Bonn in Frankfurt am Main.

He received the award at the Lünendonk Business-to-Business Service Awards (B2B). The event was hosted for the tenth time by the market research and consultancy firm Lünendonk & Hossenfelder, based in Mindelheim. A jury of 15 media representatives voted in favour of the founder of the eponymous IT services provider based in Dortmund.

The media jury explained its decision to award the lifetime achievement prize as follows: “Winfried Materna has had a significant influence on the IT services market in Germany. The company he founded is now successful not only in Germany but also across Europe. Furthermore, Winfried Materna has shown commitment not only to his company, but also to the market and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.”
