Another milestone for digital administration: Materna is developing the integration of KIPITZ with the government’s form management system

A key building block for smarter, more efficient public administration

With a pioneering in-house development, Materna is providing a further boost to the digitalisation of public administration: the IT services company has successfully integrated the AI portal KIPITZ with the federal government’s Form Management System (FMS). The new solution makes it possible to integrate and utilise intelligent AI services directly within digital administrative forms – without any media breaks or the need for external tools. In doing so, Materna creates genuine added value for citizens, case officers and public authorities.

With KIPITZ, ITZBund provides a centralised, secure and high-performance platform for the use of artificial intelligence in the federal administration. The portal brings together various AI services that public authorities can use quickly and in a legally compliant manner – from speech processing and text generation to intelligent support for form processing.

Artificial intelligence where it is needed – directly within the form

Thanks to the technical integration with the federal government’s form management system developed by Materna, these AI functionalities can now be used directly within the ongoing form-filling process for the first time. Citizens and staff thus benefit directly from the advantages of the federal government’s AI infrastructure.

Thanks to the new technical integration, KIPITZ will in future be available directly from within digital forms. Users no longer need to leave the form to get help or look up information – for example, on technical terms or the correct way to fill in the form. Whether it’s explanations in plain language, automatically generated wording suggestions or AI-supported verification of details: this integration makes filling in forms more intuitive, quicker and easier to understand.

Added value for citizens, case handlers and organisations

The integration offers significant advantages:

  • Citizens benefit from clearer, more accessible forms, which significantly improves user-friendliness.
  • Case handlers receive structured data, fewer incorrect or incomplete applications, and thus a noticeable reduction in their daily workload.
  • Public authorities gain in efficiency and service quality – an important factor in view of increasing workloads and staff shortages.

A real game-changer for digital administration

“By combining AI with the form management system, we are bringing together two powerful technologies that complement each other and, together, deliver tangible progress,” explains Johannes Rosenboom, Head of Sales, Marketing and Business Development in the Public Sector division at Materna. “Particularly in times of demographic change and rising service expectations, this solution is a game-changer: it speeds up administrative processes and delivers a modern user experience – both internally and externally.” The integration of KIPITZ with the FMS is a prime example of how new technologies can be seamlessly incorporated into existing administrative processes.
