Materna Developer Summit: We’ll keep you up to date!

Software developers make up the largest professional group at Materna. Through their work every day, they ensure that Materna is recognised as one of the leading partners for digitalisation. The IT expertise utilised is one of the fastest-evolving and changing fields. To share precisely this expertise with one another and keep each other up to date with today’s fast-paced developments, Materna launched the Developer Summit three years ago. This community event is organised and run by Materna colleagues for Materna colleagues.

More than 20 speakers shared valuable insights and experiences from client projects. Keynote speaker Eberhard Wolff, Head of Architecture at SWAGLab, delivered a keynote address on the architectural considerations crucial for long-term project success. There were many exciting approaches for the developer community, lessons learnt from day-to-day project work, knowledge sharing on the latest tools, and valuable insights into current digitalisation topics, such as UI design and generative AI. Materna is a pioneer in the use of artificial intelligence across all sectors. What does the topic of Gen AI mean, on the one hand, for businesses and, on the other, for the way software is developed?

More than 500 colleagues took the opportunity to exchange ideas in the rustic setting of the Henrichshütte in Hattingen amidst a lively atmosphere, whilst also welcoming Materna’s 4,000th employee in person.
