Materna sells all its shares in the subsidiary Message Mobile
MIND CTI becomes new owner of communications specialist Message Mobile

The international IT consulting company Materna Information & Communications SE sells its majority stake in Message Mobile GmbH, Lüneburg, to the Israeli company MIND CTI Ltd. (NasdaqGM: MNDO). MIND is an international telecommunications specialist providing real-time billing and customer care for service providers as well as unified communications analytics (call accounting solutions) for enterprises. Customers include telecommunications service providers and large corporates worldwide.
Message Mobile has specialized in custom communications solutions for more than 15 years. More than 1,200 networks of telecom providers and other companies are connected to Message Mobile's omnichannel messaging platform worldwide. Through this platform, businesses can easily communicate with their customers through various messengers. Included are WhatsApp incl. Business API, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Skype for Business and SMS. In addition, Message Mobile also offers mobile payment solutions in which the costs are billed via the telephone bill, such as mobile parking payment.
Following the purchase, Gilad Parness of MIND's management team will take over the management of Message Mobile. The founder, shareholder and former CEO of Message Mobile, Dr. Martin Hecker, will remain as a consultant to the MIND group.
Monica Iancu, Chief Executive Officer of MIND CTI, said: "We believe that the demand for messaging services is increasing worldwide, be it with traditional SMS or instant messaging. Message Mobile is already established in the German market, has a strong customer network and the expert team has in-depth expertise in the industry. This puts MIND in a good position to succeed in the European markets."
Michael Knopp, board member and CFO of Materna Information & Communications SE, says: "We would like to thank Message Mobile and its employees for the many successful years as part of the Materna group. However, after consolidating our group-wide portfolio, messaging services are no longer our core business. By selling our majority stake to MIND CTI, an internationally experienced player will take over the company, which will continue to develop the business in Lüneburg in the future."
Materna as a group currently employs more than 2,200 people around the world and generated sales of 288,6 million euros in 2018. Materna covers the entire service spectrum of a full-service provider in the premium segment: from consultation and implementation through to operations. Materna advises and assists companies and the public sector in all aspects of digitization and provides tailor-made technologies for agile, flexible and secure IT. Its customers include IT organizations and user departments in companies and the public sector. Materna is organised in five business lines: IT Factory, Digital Enterprise, Public Sector, Mobility and cbs, their subsidiary for SAP from Heidelberg.
